How a Chauffeur Client Became My First Private Jet Charter Client
June 30, 2026

The Story Behind Lesus Private Jets:
Every successful business has an origin story. Ours began with a chauffeur booking, a dinner conversation, and one client who believed in a dream before it became a business.
FROM CHAUFFEUR TO CHARTER
Today, Lesus Private Jets is a Nairobi-based private jet brokerage serving clients across Kenya, East and Central Africa, and international destinations. We arrange private jet charters, helicopter transfers, executive air travel, medical evacuation flights, and bespoke aviation solutions by matching every client with the right aircraft for their mission.
Unlike an aircraft operator with a fixed fleet, a private jet broker has the flexibility to source aircraft from a trusted network of certified operators. That means every recommendation is based on the client's travel requirements—not simply on what's available.
But our story didn't begin with aircraft. It began with a chauffeur service.

THE BEGINNING
In November 2020, Allan Njoroge, CEO of ShiftNex AI and Actriv Healthcare, travelled to Nairobi and entrusted Lesus Executive Concierge with providing executive chauffeur services during his stay. At the time, private aviation wasn't part of our business. Our mission was straightforward: deliver an experience so seamless that every client felt completely looked after from the moment they arrived.
The vehicle would arrive early. The chauffeur would be impeccably presented. Communication would be proactive. Every detail would be anticipated before the client had to ask.
Because true luxury isn't measured by the vehicle alone. It's measured by reliability, professionalism, consistency, and attention to detail. Those principles have always defined the Lesus brand.
When Allan's visit came to an end, he surprised me.
"Dan, let's have dinner."
I assumed we would discuss future chauffeur services. Instead, we spoke about business.
THE DINNER
"How Do You Do It?"
That evening, Allan asked question after question. How had we managed to build such consistency? Why was the experience so different? How did we maintain these standards?
We spoke about entrepreneurship. Leadership. Building systems. Creating memorable customer experiences. The importance of earning trust.
Then, somewhere in the middle of the conversation, I shared an idea that had been living in my mind for months.
"I've been thinking of starting a private jet brokerage."
It felt ambitious. Perhaps even unrealistic. Private aviation wasn't widely understood in East Africa, and many people questioned whether there was even a market for private jet charter services in Kenya.
Allan listened carefully. Then he asked one simple question.
"Are there private jets in Nairobi?"
I smiled. "Yes."
Without hesitation, he replied, "Let's try it."
THE TURNING POINT
The Email I'll Never Forget
The following day, I prepared a quotation for a private jet charter from Nairobi to Mombasa for Allan and his family. I reviewed it repeatedly before pressing send. This wasn't just another quotation. It represented a dream.
A few minutes later, my phone buzzed.
"Send me a payment link."
I sent it. Moments later... Payment received.
I remember staring at my screen. A business that had existed only in my imagination had suddenly become real. Not because I had decades of aviation experience. Not because I had a global brand. But because someone trusted me enough to take the journey with me.
"Sometimes people don't invest in your business, they invest in your character"
FIRST FLIGHT
When the day finally arrived, we successfully executed the charter. For the first time in my life, I stepped aboard a private jet. I wasn't there simply as a passenger. I was there as the broker responsible for ensuring every detail of the journey came together flawlessly.
Walking through that cabin, one thought stayed with me. This wasn't about luxury. It wasn't about aircraft. It wasn't even about aviation. It was about trust. Everything that had happened—from the chauffeur service, to that dinner, to the charter itself—had been built on one thing. Trust earned through consistently delivering excellence.

The Greatest Gift Allan Gave Me
Looking back, the payment wasn't the greatest gift Allan gave me. His belief was. He saw potential before the business fully existed. He encouraged me to pursue something many people would have dismissed as impossible.
Entrepreneurs often spend years searching for capital. Sometimes the greatest investment isn't financial. It's someone saying, "I believe you can do this."
That belief gave me permission to believe in myself. For that, I will always be grateful.

THE PHILOSOPHY
The Lesson That Shapes Lesus Private Jets
People often ask how we entered private aviation. The answer surprises them. We didn't begin with aircraft. We began with service.
Because clients rarely buy your next product. They buy your reputation. If you consistently solve problems, exceed expectations, and become someone people trust, they'll follow you into your next venture.
That philosophy continues to define everything we do. Whether we're arranging a business jet to Johannesburg, a family charter to the Kenyan coast, a helicopter transfer to the Maasai Mara, or a multi-country executive itinerary across Africa, our approach remains the same.
Understand the mission. Recommend the right aircraft. Execute every detail flawlessly. Earn trust. Repeat.
Looking Back
Every time I walk across an airport apron towards another aircraft, I'm reminded of that dinner in Nairobi. One client. One conversation. One opportunity. One decision to believe.
It's remarkable how often the biggest opportunities in business don't begin in boardrooms. They begin with relationships.
To Allan—thank you. Not only for becoming our very first private jet charter client, but for believing in a vision before it had fully taken shape. Your encouragement transformed what seemed like a distant dream into a business with purpose.
That first charter was never the destination. It was the beginning of something much bigger. Today, every aircraft we source, every journey we coordinate, and every client we advise brings us one step closer to the vision that was born that evening over dinner.
Our mission is simple, but ambitious. To become the most trusted private aviation broker in East and Central Africa, then across the continent, and ultimately on the global stage.
Not the biggest. Not the loudest. Not the flashiest. The most trusted.
Because aircraft can be sourced by many. Trust must be earned. And if my first private jet charter taught me anything, it's that trust isn't built overnight. It's built one relationship. One journey. One promise kept at a time.
That's the business we're building, And we're only just getting started
